Inflatable Toys to Help LearnWhy Do We Have Those Large Inflatable Balls, Air Mattresses, and TOYS?
When an individual works on air it offers a unique opportunity to develop large motor movements, balance reactions, tilting reactions, motor planning and sensory integration. Balls are great for just the right type of input such as rolling, bouncing or sitting. Air Mattresses are great for rolling (wonderful vestibular/balance helper), creeping and crawling exercises, and balance work. The Blue Dolphin air pillow is the perfect size for working on rocking and balance in all fours or just relaxing and rocking to calm. The SensiPit and SensaRock are the ones with the colored balls in them and they are excellent ways to work on muscle and joint strength and movement therapy at the same time!
The SensaTrak is the round tube that you can use as a motor and sensory tool for a variety of therapy needs. Rhythmic Rocking calms and soothes! It is fun to ride on it like a magic carpet ride, gentle bounces fell like a flouting trampoline bringing smiles to faces! Place it on its side for a "cool down" space. All of these items can be found in the Integrations catalog.
